Materials & Techniques: This painting was created on 1/4 inch gallery-grade birch wood panels that are cradled and braced. Acrylic gloss medium is applied directly to the wood to help prevent Support Induced Discoloration. Acrylic gesso is used to prime the panel before applying the acrylic paint. Each painting is finished with a protective archival gloss varnish. This painting is framed using the same materials.
Installation: These premium birch panels are roughly 1/4 inch thick, painted on both the front and back and ready-to-hang with standard wall-hanging hardware. The finished painting is less than 50 lbs.
