Materials & Techniques: My current collection of paintings are created on large 1/2 inch gallery-grade birch wood panels that are cradled and braced. Acrylic gloss medium is applied directly to the wood to help prevent Support Induced Discoloration. Acrylic gesso is used to prime the panel before applying the acrylic paint. Each painting is finished with a protective archival gloss varnish.
